The role of the federal government in education is being explored in southern Delaware

The Sussex County League of Women Voters hosts a public discussion today on the role of the federal government in education.

The session begins at 1:00 p.m. at the Beebe Medical Arts Building on Route 24.  is part of the League’s goal of developing a position on Core Curriculum Standards and the federal government’s involvement in education.  The guest speaker is Chris Minnich, Senior Membership Director of the Council of Chief State School Officers.  The public is invited, and there will be a question-and-answer session.  For more information call 1-302-684-1368.  CLICK HERE for more background information compiled by LWV.
