Delaware’s The News Journal looks to launch digital-first subscription model

    Starting in February, The News Journal Media Group of Wilmington, Delaware, will launch a new subscription model and improved digital platforms including, a mobile site and tablet-friendly news reader for customers.
    “Now that more than half of our readers access our content digitally, we’ve reached a tipping point in our industry,” said Howard Griffin, president and publisher of The News Journal.Subscribers to The News Journal will be granted access to all digital content, and will be able to choose from a number of print plans such as daily, weekend, or Sunday—only home delivery under the new subscription model.  Non-subscribers of The News Journal will be limited to the DelawareOnline.come homepage, obituaries, classifieds, videos and other selected publications from the media group.
