The joy of the playoffs
My daugther Sarah – the family’s biggest Phillies fan – just reminded me of this video, which I then watched four times straight. It recalls a magical moment in the Phillies 2009 league championship series with the Dodgers.
If you’ve forgotten, remembering will bring a smile to your face – Game four, the Phillies down a run, two outs in the ninth, two runners on base. Jimmy Rollins, hitting left-handed laces a shot off Jonathan Broxton into the right center field gap that goes to the wall, scoring two, winning the game and giving the Phils a commanding lead in the series.
The video captures the feeling and reminds you what’s fun about the playoffs.
Here we go.
