Temple student treated for possible bacterial meningitis

A Temple student has been hospitalized for what university officials say is a possible case of bacterial meningitis.

The male undergrad is being treated at Temple University Hospital, the Associated Press reports, while the school gets in touch with anyone who may have been exposed. Bacterial meningitis is contagious and is often spread through saliva or close, prolonged contact with an infected person. The student lives off campus.
