Temple preps for Spring with giant Adirondack chairs on campus [video]

Yes, it’s currently only 40 degrees in Phily. But the clocks have been changed, Spring Break is over and Temple University is ready for the warm weather.

Inspired by the appreciation for the colorful Adirondack chairs the university sprinkled around its North Philadelphia campus last year, Temple is going big this Spring.

Two giant Adirondacks greeted students Monday as they returned from Spring Break. One it cherry, the other is white, and both boast the Twitter/Instagram #TUbigchairs, where students are already sharing pictures of themselves being dwarfed by the large seats.

The wooden chairs were built by Temple Facilities workers and placed near the Bell Tower. The chairs can hold four students, but no doubt the Owls will try to see just how many they can squeeze in.
