It might have something to do with the bet fulfillment that went down today. Temple men’s basketball coach Fran Dunphy shaved his signature mustache to make good on a two-year-old deal with former player Dionte Christmas.
Dunphy took a disposal razor to his face today, OwlScoop reports, after Christmas held up his end of the bargain and got his degree. The coach had been growing his mustache since 1971 and Christmas is just one of four Temple players to score more than 2,000 points in his career. Two big accomplishments, if we do say so ourselves.
