Teachers file race-bias suit against Mifflin Elementary principal

Four white teachers at Thomas Mifflin Elementary School have filed federal race-bias lawsuits against their black principal.

Among the claims is that the principal implied the teachers were unqualified to teach the predominantly black students at the school, as the Associated Press reports.  Filed last week, the suits say the principal undermined the teachers by reprimanding them, randomly changing their classroom assignments and enforcing rules that black teachers did not have to follow.
