Teacher’s blog called students airheads, jerks, lazy

For all of you who had a few choice insults and go-to nicknames for your teachers — the feeling was probably mutual. Central Bucks East teacher Natalie Munroe felt the need to share hers on the Internet.

Munro was suspended yesterday after admitting the blog, in which she insulted students for their character flaws and classroom performance, is hers.

Allow us to highlight a few choice comments for you.

In a post from last January, Munroe lists comments she wish she could list on students’ report cards, including:

“A complete and utter jerk in all ways. Although academically ok, your child has no other redeeming qualities.”
“Nowhere near as good as her sibling. Are you sure they’re related?”
“I called out sick a couple of days just to avoid your son.”

Isn’t it possible some of these students were truly “utterly loathsome in all imaginable ways”? Does it matter?
