Tax numbers show Christie was right about budget

N.J. Sen. Republican Leader Tom Kean Jr. says July’s tax collection number show Gov. Chris Christie was right to slash the budget, meaning the state would be in big trouble right now if the guv hadn’t cut $1.3 billion in spending earlier this summer.

How’s that one sitting with the Dems?

Assembly Democratic spokesman Tom Hester told the Associated Press Kean’s statement is proof Republicans care more about one-upmanship than about their cuts to senior, child and disability services.
