    “It’s good to be the king,” Mel Brooks said on screen as King Louis XVI.

    Mayor Nutter offered a more uplifting reflection the benefits of power today as he announced there was enough money to send two Philadelphia Pop Warner football teams to Florida for their championship.

    He’d had a rough week battling over business tax reform in City Council, and wrestling with whether a public space could be called Christmas Village.

    But helping these young kids and their families, he said, is what makes holding office worth the effort.

    “Sometimes, it’s the little things that you do,” he said.
