Sweeney ‘knows too many people’ to serve on jury

You can take Stephen Sweeney out of his suit, but you can’t strip away his political ties.

Despite showing up in sweats and standing in line with everyone else, the New Jersey Senate president was ultimately dismissed from jury duty at the Gloucester County Justice Complex yesterday.
He told the Gloucester County Times he thinks it’s for “knowing too many people” through his political and union ties.

But that doesn’t mean he skips out on appearing. And don’t think about asking him to get you out of jury duty. That’d be a firm “no.”
