Survey asks where University City lacks bike racks

The new University Bike Collective is gearing up and wants to know which University City locations need more bike racks. The group has launched a crowdsourcing map and is asking as many people as possible to indicate where on the map they’d like more bike racks.

The data will help determine which locations have the highest demand and will help the group make the case to get more bike racks installed. The interactive map, similar to bike-to-transit survey maps Philly has also seen, allows users to upload pictures of sites in need and to comment on locations other users have suggested.

The group is hoping to reach as wide an audience as possible: residents, employees, students and anyone else who bikes or might bike in the area.
