A Northwest Philadelphia man is still missing two weeks after he left a busy Manayunk bar.

On Thanksgiving Eve, Roxborough native Shane Montgomery went out with friends at Kildare’s Irish Pub, but never came back.

And as fall becomes winter, investigators still aren’t sure what happened that night.

The Philadelphia Police Department and the FBI have canvassed and combed the neighborhood and brought in some surveillance video, but nothing has brought them any closer to finding Montgomery.

“Unfortunately, the search is still continuing and there’s no updates to provide,” said FBI spokesperson J.J. Klaver.

Investigators this week did recover new surveillance video that shows Montgomery near the Manayunk Canal, which sits across the street from Kildare’s and a parking lot away from a steep bank above the Schuylkill River.

On Thursday, Philadelphia police told reporters that the video, recovered from a nail salon, captures the West Chester student heading towards the parking lot “immediately” after leaving the bar, but not returning.

“You don’t get anything as soon as he comes at the bridge,” said Capt. James Smith with Northwest Detectives. “There’s a lot of places he could have gone that would not have been captured on camera.”

Smith said there’s no evidence that Montgomery was noticeably drunk or that he got into a car.

“This is the last place we know he came,” he said. “We don’t have any other spot where he came after this.”

When the weather clears up, marine and K-9 units will return to the banks of the Schuylkill across from Kildare’s and, possibly, a bit beyond, said Klaver.

The reward for information leading to Montgomery’s whereabouts now sits at $65,000.

Montgomery is described as a 5-foot 11-inch tall white male, weighing between 130 and 140 pounds with short brown hair and green eyes.

He was last seen wearing a gray button-down shirt, blue jeans, gray hooded sweatshirt and black sneakers and has a tattoo of a Celtic cross on his shoulder blade.

Police are asking anyone with information to call the FBI at (215) 418-4000.
