Surprise snow showers are moving through the region Thursday morning.

The activity may drop a coating to just a few inches as it passes from west to east, according to AccuWeather.com.

“These snow showers are packing a nice little punch with a heavy burst of snow or two,” NY NJ PA Weather‘s Steven DiMartino said.

The National Weather Advises that the activity should move through by “around noon” in most locations, adding to be aware of slippery travel and poor driving visibilities.
