Sunday afternoon shooting leaves man dead in West Oak Lane

A West Oak Lane man fatally shot in an alleyway along the 1900 block of 69th Ave. Sunday afternoon has been identified as 21-year-old Trashawn Anderson, according to police.

Officers responded to the scene just before 4:45 p.m. There, they found Anderson “suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.” He was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center, where he was declared dead 20 minutes later.

Anderson lived nearby on the 1800 block of 73rd Ave.

Police offered no information about possible suspects or motive as of Monday morning.

One of at least four weekend homicides in the city, the fatality came two days after two people were wounded during a shooting across West Oak Lane in the 7600 block of Temple Road.
