Subway Super Bowl ad features N.J. native Mike Trout

    Audubon native Joe Flacco won’t be the only one with a Garden State connection featured on TV tonight.

    Millville’s own Mike Trout, an outfielder with the Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim will be featured in a new ad for Subway. He will be joined by Olympic speed skater Apolo Anton Ohno, boxer Laila Ali, Blake Griffin of the L.A. Clippers, and Justin Tuck of the New York Giants.

    According to the Associated Press, the spot will celebrate Jared Fogle’s 15-year anniversary of losing 245 pounds by eating Subway.

    Trout was last year’s American League rookie of the year says being part of a Super Bowl ad is “an incredible feeling.”
