Stock car race benefits Camp Barnes

Stock car race in Delmar will raise money for Camp Barnes.
The 40th annual Camp Barnes Benefit Stock Car Race is tonight at 7 p.m. at Delaware International Speedway in Delmar.  Drivers from New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Maryland and Delaware will compete for more than $35,000 in prize money in various classes including Big Block Modifieds and Super Late Models.

The event raises money for Camp Barnes near Bethany Beach.  Every summer, the camp hosts about 70 children per week for six weeks with no financial cost to their parents.  Campers take part in outdoor activities and are taught leadership and teamwork skills.
