Still missing: Bust of Benjamin Franklin and the woman accused of stealing it

Police in Lower Merion are still looking for a rare sculpture of Ben Franklin and the woman believed to have stolen it.

Ben Franklin’s bust was reported stolen last Friday when employees at a Main Line home interrupted a burglary.

The life-size bust of Franklin — a version of which sits in the Philadelphia Museum of Art and is valued at $3 million — is one of two items missing.

According to the Main Line Times, police have been unable to track down Philadelphia resident Andrea Lawton, a former employee of the burgled home whom witnesses reported seeing get into the vehicle that fled the scene. Lawton was not at current address when police attempted to serve her warrants.
