Still coping: New Jersey residents still feeling impacts of Hurricane Irene

Mold and a lengthy list of repairs that still need to be done are just a few of the issues New Jersey residents are still dealing with after Hurricane Irene.

The Star-Ledger reports the snow from last weekend’s snowstorm only added to the problems for many of the state’s residents, who are still recovering from the hurricane.

According to the Star-Ledger, 45,915 New Jersey residents have received aid for housing assistance and other needs. At least 69,046 requests for housing inspections have been fielded by FEMA, according to the report.

The Star-Ledger says the damage to public buildings and roads is still being tallied.
