Though a few different parties owned Steel Pier over the years, it was during Hamid’s tenure that the Atlantic City destination was in its heyday. Hamid’s son, Hamid III said bringing the Beatles to Boardwalk Hall in 1964 was one of his father’s “proudest accomplishments.”
