State grant will help fund Wayne’s electric car charger

A state grant will help Radnor-based Community Energy install an electric car charging station, which has already met the approval of the township residents and commissioners.

The station would be at the township-owned Wayne Senior Center, where electric cars can charge up using the center’s power.

Jay Carlis, vice president of the retail division at Community Energy, told Radnor Patch he hopes the addition of the station will encourage more people to consider buying electric cars.

Community Energy plans to have the system ready within the next couple months.
