St. Joe’s staffers remain silent on archdiocesan allegations

It’s not just young students and avid church-goers looking for guidance from their local Catholic authorities. At St. Joe’s University, the newspaper staff has called for dialogue surrounding the recent abuse charges against four priests and a teacher in the Archdiocese of Philadelphia.

The Hawk staff reports that conversation isn’t happening on the Catholic campus — just steps away from the seminary where men go to become priests and priests go when they face such charges.

“We deserve a conversation with our campus Jesuits,” the staff writes.
