Somerton Civic Association to sponsor Community Day
The Somerton Civic Association is looking for help and suggestions from its residents and business owners in putting together its Community Day event.
The Sept. 10 event will begin with a tribute to veterans service members, and will continue throughout the day with participation from neighborhood schools, VFW posts, American Legion posts and more.
You can expect all the offerings of a Community Day — food, games, prizes and informational booths, plus performances by schools’ dance, choir, gymnastics teams and more.
The afternoon closing ceremony will honor police and firefighters. All events will be sponsored by the Somerton Civic Association and held at the Fellowship Bible Church at 13020 Worthington Rd.
