    There are all kinds of tales about how people spent their time during the snowstorm – stranded in a bus, stranded on a train, stranded in an airport.

    Here’s one for the books: the newest member of the Mann family spent it stranded in a car. While being born.

    Joan Pierre-Mann of Jersey City gave birth Monday in the front seat of her family’s Toyota Highlander.

    Her husband Fredrick Mann tells the Jersey Journal that he tried to get his wife to St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston when she went into labor.

    But because of all the snow, major roads were closed and minor ones were clogged with stranded cars.

    The 6-pound, 10-ounce boy about a half-mile from the hospital.
