Six words on dating in Philadelphia

WHYY’s Peter Crimmins dropped by a speed-dating event this week at the main branch of the Free Library of Philadelphia. It’s one of a series of such events hosted by the Free Library in various neighborhoods around the city.

With 15 women matched up against 14 men, the odds were definitely stacked in favor of the men. And it gets worse.

As Crimmins noted in his report, the library had a hard time filling the guys’ seats, and they had to turn away 25 willing female participants.
