Showers and thunderstorms could move through the shore area during the late afternoon and evening hours, forecasters say.

Some of the activity might produce “locally heavy rain, potentially leading to flooding in poor drainage areas” as well as locally gusty winds, a Hazardous Weather Outlook advises.

At 3:20 p.m., a line of showers and thunderstorms extends from Sussex County, NJ to Wilmington, DE, heading generally eastward.
