Severe thunderstorm, flash flood warning up for LBI area

A Severe Thunderstorm Warning is up for the LBI area until 9:30 a.m. today.
The National Weather Service says to expect heavy rain, large hail, and deadly lightning.
“For your protection, move to an interior room on the lowest floor of your home or business,” a NWS bulletin advises.
A Flash Flood Warning also covers the same area until 12:45 p.m. Additional rainfall amounts of one to three inches are possible.
“Heavy rains flood roads quickly so do not drive into areas where water covers the road,” according to the bulletin.
