Serious crash reported on GSP southbound near Exit 63

    UPDATE (4:15 P.M.): An accident investigation is underway, closing the left and center lanes, according to 511nj.org. The service reports a six mile southbound delay. 

    Emergency units are on the scene of a serious crash on the Garden State Parkway in Stafford at 3 p.m. Saturday. 

    The incident is in the southbound lanes near milepost 63.6, according to emergency radio transmissions. Units on the scene report multiple injuries.

    Two medevacs were dispatched shortly before 3:00 p.m. and will land on the highway.

    Southbound lanes near the scene are closed at 3:15 p.m., according to an alert from the Stafford Township Police Department.

    Traffic is building in the area of the crash, according to Google Traffic.
