SEPTA breaks ground on new Parkside Loop project

SEPTA officials broke ground today on the new location for its Parkside Loop in West Philadelphia.

Marjorie Ogilvie, president of the Business Association of West Parkside; and Lucinda Hudson, president of the Parkside Association of Philadelphia, joined SEPTA officials and city and state elected officials for the groundbreaking ceremony around the corner from the exiting loop.

The new loop at 1551 N. 50th St. will feature more ammenities than the old site at 49th and Parkside, and is expected to improve traffic flow. The loop hosts bus routes 40, 43, 52 and 64.
