Sen. Williams, Rep. Waters organize community meeting on crime prevention in Cobbs Creek

    Sen. Anthony Williams and Rep. Ron Waters have organized a community meeting on crime prevention in the Cobbs Creek area of West Philadelphia following a recent spike in burglaries.

    According to a release issued by the two lawmakers, the town hall style meeting will be held Thursday, October 6 at 7 p.m. at KIPP Philadelphia School at 5900 Baltimore Avenue.

    “This is an opportunity for the community to come together, share our concerns and devise productive solutions that will help improve our neighborhoods, Sen. Williams said.

    Members of the Philadelphia Police Department, SEPTA Transit Police Department and other city offices are expected to attend the meeting.
