Sen. Chris Coons, D-Del., joined Marty Moss-Coane on Radio Times on Monday morning to discuss his views on the Trump presidency thus far, as well as the state of the Democratic Party.

During the interview, Coons offered some optimism for his party in future elections, pointing to a Delaware State Senate election last month in which the Democrat Stephanie Hansen won by a significant margin.

Coons went on to describe how he thinks the Democrats can improve their platform and their messaging in the future, saying that “The Democratic Party got away from our FDR-era focus on working Americans.”
