New partnership will green Philly schoolyards and rec centers

A partnership announced today will green some of Philadelphia’s schoolyards and rec centers to step up the city’s efforts for more publicly accessible green space.

Mayor Michael Nutter will make the announcement today at William Dick Elementary in Strawberry Mansion.

The undertaking is a cooperation of many partners: the Department of Parks & Recreation, the Philadelphia Water Department, the School District of Philadelphia, the Trust for Public Land, the William Penn Foundation and the Mural Arts Program.
