School District of Philadelphia to end classes early Thursday

No indecisiveness here. The School District of Philadelphia has announced it will close schools early again tomorrow because of the continuing heat warning.

“The District is taking this heat warning seriously by closing schools, which includes early childhood programs, at 1:30 p.m. tomorrow,” reads a statement from the District sent out before noon Wednesday.  “At the 1:30 p.m. dismissal time, routine transportation will occur for students.”

Staff will stick around until the last student has been picked up.
