Say good-bye to summer in your own words and pictures
With Labor Day upon us, summer is all but over. What will you miss most? Or are you not such a fan? Tell us in comments or pictures what you are leaving behind as we approach autumn.
Summer doesn’t technically end until September 23, but once Labor Day comes around, no one really takes it seriously any more. For most people, after this weekend, summer will be over in their hearts and minds, and all they can do is look back fondly on memories of sunny days past.
Take heart, however. We have to wait only nine months until it comes again.
What are you going to miss most? Is it your own garden-fresh tomatoes right off the vine? Is it days down at the Shore spent hunting for seashells? Camping trips? Sun tans? Jogging outdoors?
Or are you not such a big fan of summer? Do you say phooey to the constant buzz of electric fans? Do you cry “good riddance!” to air conditioners? Tired of sweating through your clothes the moment you step outside?
Tell us in the comments below, or submit a photo above, to express what you will miss the most—or the least—about the summer of 2011.
