Santorum’s daughter released from hospital, former Senator plans Pa. visit Tuesday

    The three-year-old daughter or Rick Santorum has been released from a Virginia hospital, a campaign spokesman tells the Associated Press.

    According to the Associated Press, Bella Santorum, who suffers from the genetic condition Trisomy 18, was released from the hospital Monday night and is now back at home with her parents.

    The Associated Press says Santorum has canceled his first two events scheduled for Tuesday, but did plan to make a campaign stop in Gettysburg Tuesday afternoon. According to his website, Santorum is scheduled to visit the Gettysburg Hotel at 2 p.m.

    Santorum is also scheduled to meet with James Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family, a Christian group based in Colorado.

    Santorum’s website says he is scheduled to meet with Dobson at 7:15 p.m. at the Lancaster Bible College in Lancaster, Pa.
