Sandusky requests copies of grand jury testimony
Jerry Sandusky wants copies of secret grand jury testimony to help him prepare for trial on charges he sexually abused 10 boys.
Sandusky lawyer Joe Amendola said late last he filed a court motion seeking transcripts of testimony by any witness the attorney general intends to call to testify.
Amendola says he’s against the prosecutors’ request to bring in a jury from outside Centre County to hear the case. He says he’ll file his formal response this week.
There’s a hearing scheduled in Bellefonte on Friday to address Sandusky’s demand for more details about the allegations against him. That hearing will also address his request to modify his bail conditions so he can have contact with his grandchildren.
The 68-year-old former Penn State defensive coordinator faces 52 criminal counts. He denies the allegations.
