At The Salvation Army’s Pajamas for a Purpose event held Feb. 26, at The Hyatt at the Bellevue, supporters gathered to honor of the organization’s programs for women and children.

Since the Thompson Family Pajama Pantry was established in 2009, the program has collected more than 10,000 pajama and sleepwear donations and distributed them to disaster victims and families living in homeless shelters across the Philadelphia region.

Nearly 150 guests attended the PECO sponsored event. The evening’s emcee, BEN-FM Woman of the Week Show Host Marilyn Russell, guided the audience through the live auction, the proceeds of which will go to benefit The Salvation Army’s programs for women and children.
