Salem County women receive grant, training to help build home

Salem County, N.J.’s Habitat for Humanity has received $5,000 from the international organization for its participation in “National Women Build Week.” The money will be used to buy materials to build a home at 4 West Griffith Street in Penns Grove.

The Salem County chapter was one of 250 selected from 3,000 worldwide, as Today’s Sunbeam reports. Leading up to the May 7 event, the women will receive training from Lowes and the Salem County Vocational Technical School to help them prepare for the build.
