Ryerss Museum announces middle school essay contest

The Ryerss Museum & Library on the Burholme/Fox Chase border is a site to behold, inside and out.

So the staff there is extending an offer to middle school students: visit the museum and write an essay about it for the chance to win a savings bond.

Seventh- and eighth-graders have until March 30 to write a creative essay on one of three topics:

The Strangest Object at the Ryerss Museum The Ryerss Family and their Pets Contributions of the Ryerss Family to the Community

For more information about the contest, visit Ryerss, connect with the museum on Facebook, call 215-685-0544 or email ryerssmuseum [AT] hotmail [DOT] com. The winning essay will be published in the Friends of Ryerss newsletter, and the writer will receive a $200 U.S. savings bond.
