    The process of getting rid of old prescription medications isn’t an easy one in Philadelphia. And it won’t get easier any time soon. City Council is hoping to make adjustments for the sake of safety.

     

    As WHYY’s Tom MacDonald learned today, disposing unwanted prescription drugs means shipping them off to Ohio for incineration. That first requires residents to hand the medications over to the city on designated collection days.
