Ruptured water main closes Montco. courthouse

It wasn’t the heat causing problems for utility crews Friday in Montgomery County, rather, it was the water.

On Friday afternoon, The Mercury reports a ruptured water main forced utility crews to close down the Montgomery County Courthouse.

According to the report, the eight inch iron water main broke just outside the courthouse at about 1:30 p.m. on Airy Street.

The Mercury reports water could be seen rushing out of the street and flowing toward the intersection with Swede Street.
