Royersford woman’s bake sale gets her a seat at the Primetime Emmy Awards

A Royersford woman’s bake sale contributed to more than $6 million raised to fight childhood hunger and landed her a trip to the Primetime Emmy Awards.

Lisa Bender was the largest weekly fundraiser for Duncan Hines/Share Our Strength Great American Bake Sale. She is one of five to win the 1 MILLION Cupcake Challenge, according to the news release published by Limerick-Royersford-Spring City Patch.

Bender baked up applesauce walnut cake, coconut cream cake, cookies & creme cake and cupcakes and chocolate peanut butter surprise cupcakes using Duncan Hines recipes, which happens to be the official dessert of the Primetime Emmy Awards Governor’s Ball. Bender and a guest will get to head to the Emmys as a prize.
