Royersford restaurant owner takes second place in $1 million makeover contest

Two months after she learned she was a finalist in a makeover contest, Annamarie Chestnut was named runner-up. The Royersford restaurant owner was competing in the Macy’s Million Dollar Makeover with Clinton Kelly contest.

Chestnut spoke to the Pottstown Mercury about the contest, which kept her on edge as she learned little by little that she’d advanced. She went to New York City earlier this month for the final round of the contest.

It’s not clear what the second-place prize is, but it won’t match the $1 million grand prize that would have helped Chestnut open her second restaurant. She still plans to do that, but in a little more time.
