Roy Halladay helps rescue boy bitten by anaconda

Did you need another reason to love Roy Halladay?

Because one trip to Brazil just turned the Phillies player into a hero. On a recent trip to the Amazon with some fellow MLB players and pro fisherman Skeet Reece, Halladay and crew stumbled upon a young boy who’d been bitten by an anaconda. The snake then wrapped itself around the boy’s boat and tore off the motor.

It was Doc to the rescue.

In a totally casual paragraph buried in the middle of a blog post, Reece details how he and Halladay helped the boy gather his stuff, right his boat and then tow him to safety.
