With 11,006 students, 16 on-campus drug arrests and a drug safety grade of C-, Rowan University has earned itself the No. 13 spot on the Daily Beast’s “Druggiest Colleges in the U.S.“list
It’s the only school in the region on the list, which ranks the 30 higher education institution based on three factors: drug scene grades, on-campus drug arrests and statewide illicit drug use among 18- to 25-year-olds.
The result is Daily Beast’s second annual list of schools where students experment with drugs the most. Last year’s list features many of the same schools, plus 20 others, but Rowan makes its first appearance this year and is the only college in the Philadelphia region to be included.
University of Colorado-Boulder is No. 1 this year with 33,010 students enrolled, 801 on-campus drug arrests and a C- drug safety grade. The university was No. 5 last year.
