Route 9 in Howell closed after dump truck overturns, spills load

A portion of Route 9 in Howell is closed following a crash involving an overturned dump truck late Monday morning, police said.
The roadway is closed in both directions near the Lakewood border, according to a release from the Howell Police Department.
Crews are working to remove the truck and its contents from the roadway shortly before noon.
There is heavy traffic in both directions to the north and south of the scene, according to Google Traffic.
Police did not release additional information.
