Rosa Parks stamp released today; South Jersey to celebrate Saturday

The African American Heritage Museum in South Jersey’s Buena Vista Township will celebrate the release of a new postage stamp dedicated to Civil Rights legend Rosa Parks. The U.S. Postal Service “forever” stamp became available for sale on Monday, which would have been her 100th birthday.

Of events scheduled this week to commemorate the new stamp, it is the only celebration in New Jersey, according to the Press of Atlantic City.
