Robbery reported at TD Bank in Toms River late Monday morning

    Police are investigating a bank robbery at a TD Bank branch in Toms River that occurred shortly before noon Monday.

    The man, who demanded money from a teller at 11:55 a.m., did not show a weapon, according to police.

    The suspect is described as an approximately 30-year-old white male, 5-feet, 4-inches tall with a stubby goatee, police said. He was wearing dark pants, a plaid style red and black winter hat with ear flaps, and black gloves, police said. 

    He was last seen running toward a McDonald’s restaurant just north of the bank, which is located near the intersection of Routes 9 and 70, police said.
