David Scott of Beach Haven, New Jersey says the houses on Long Island Beach are studier than they used to be. He told NewsWorks during our first Rethinking the Shore forum that he can remember powerful storms washing away homes.

Scott was one of 60 people who participated in WHYY’s Ready for Next Time? Rethinking the Shore After Sandy forums. It was held at our studios on Monday, July 15, 2013. During each session we set up our “Two Minute Testimonial” video booth. This gives anyone a chance to share their thoughts about the Jersey shore unfiltered.

Our next event is Tues, July 30, 2013

Middle Township High School
