Republican ward leader explains support for mayoral candidate Karen Brown

Why would a Republican ward leader support a mayoral candidate who until this election was a Democrat?

Let Matthew Wolfe explain himself. The leader of West Philly’s 47th Ward talked with City Paper about his politics and the choices around them.

For starters, he’s supporting GOP mayoral candidate Karen Brown because she’s not Michael Nutter. Ditto on the presidential race. While Wolfe says he’s supportive of Jon Huntsman and then Mitt Romney, he’d take any of the GOP candidates over President Barack Obama.
